Rural Charity
1. Yunnan
Yunnan is another area of concern for CRRS's rural charity projects. In the past, CRRS has initiatated several projects in Yunnan to subsidize drop-out students to go back to school. In 2010, Hong Kong representatives of CRRS made several study trips to Yunnan's Wenshan Autonomous Region near the Vietnam-Chinese border, to understand the needs of local rural villagers. By the end of 2010, CRRS formally started to implement a Student Subsidy Scheme and School-building project there.

1.4 Sponsorship of Yunnan Students to Universities
During the school year of 2010-2011, CRRSHK has launched students’ sponsorship scheme with two high schools in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Nationality Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan. At the end of the school year, CRRSHK has extended our support to university level by continuing our grant to these high school graduates. We are now sponsoring 6 former Wenshan high school graduates in 6 different universities, namely the Central University of Finanace and Economics, Harbin Institute of Technology, South China University of Technology, Sichuan University, Yunnan University and Kunming Medical University.
At the moment, CRRSHK has only raised enough fund to finance their first year of grant, we will have to continue to raise fund for them. In June 2012, it will have another 19 graduates from the two high schools. CRRSHK is also preparing for them and hoping to give hands to these rural students and their families to lift them out of poverty.
2. Guangxi
Guangxi has been CRRS's earliest areas of concern since 2005. In 2007 and 2008, CRRS subsidized students from poor rural and mountainous areas in Guangxi to purse their dreams of going to university. Hardworking teenagers with the potential to be admitted to university were subsidized through CRRS. Besides students, CRRS also provided subsidies for training local teachers, in order to improve the quality of education there.
